Privacy Policy

Hypnora is a sleep manifestation app. This page explains what information Hypnora collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
The short version: your rituals, recordings, and scripts stay on your device. We don't sell your data, run ads, or use third-party trackers. The only things that ever leave your phone are your account email (to log you in) and, if you use the AI Story Builder, the written answers you type into it.
What we collect
Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider, Supabase). This lets you log in and is not used for anything else.
Content you create. Your affirmation scripts, voice recordings, ritual settings, streaks, and challenge progress are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. We do not have access to this content and it is never uploaded to our servers.
AI Story Builder input. If you use the "Build with AI" feature, the written answers you type (your focus area and a few sentences about your goals) are sent to our server, which forwards them to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a script for you. Your voice and audio recordings are never sent anywhere — only the text you type for this specific feature.
What we don't do
- We don't run ads or sell your information to advertisers.
- We don't use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We don't share your recordings, scripts, or personal content with anyone.
Notifications
If you enable nightly reminders, Hypnora sends a local notification at the time you choose. This is handled entirely on your device through Apple's notification system — no data about this is sent to us.
Deleting your data
You're in control of your data at all times. Inside the app, go to Settings → Delete All My Data to permanently erase your rituals, recordings, streaks, and account on your device. You can also email us at hello@hypnora.co to request deletion of your account from our systems.
Children's privacy
Hypnora is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
